Chaibasa, July 14: Subroto Cup Football Tournament kicked off at district school ground in Chaibasa on Thursday. Under-14 boys and Under-17 boys and girls’ team from school level are participating in the championship.
In the first match played between Middle School Khaparsai and Middle School Badi Bazar. Team Middle School Khaparsai defeated Middle School Badi Bazar 4-0.
In the second match played between Saint Xavier High School Lupangutu and Saint Xavier Middle School Chaibasa in the U-14 boys’ category. Saint Xavier Middle School Chaibasa won the match 1-0.
Sports coordinator Sonaram Champia was also present.
