Bank of India employee tests Covid positive, bank closed for 48 hrs

Chaibasa, Oct 29: Panic gripped Bank of India Main branch in Chaibasa after an employee of the bank tested positive for the virus. It is after while that a Covid case has come up in the district. West Singhbhum district health department is on its toes and is planning to screen all the employees of the bank and its customers. Several employees have their Covid test done today and the remaining will be tested tomorrow. Health department has sought the list of customers who have visited the bank during the last two days and have met the positive employee.

The administration has also the bank for two days after the employee’s report came positive at 12 noon on Friday. According to the manager, bank will remain closed on Saturday while Sunday is a holiday and the bank will reopen on Monday only after thorough sanitisation.
