Focus on taking development schemes on ground level: Minister Mithilesh Thakur convenes review meeting

Jamshedpur, Oct 29: Minister Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, cum-in-charge Minister East Singhbhum Mithilesh Thakur presided over a review meeting at Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur.

 
In the first half of the meeting,  the implementation of development plans was discussed and in the second shift, the revenue and technical departments were reviewed. 


The meeting was attended by MP  Bidhyut Baran Mahato, MLA Jamshedpur East Saryu Roy, MLA Ghatshila  Ramdas Soren, MLA Baharagora Samir Mohanty, MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi, MLA Potka Sanjeev Sardar, MLA Jamshedpur West MLA Representatives and district level officials included Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar, Forest Divisional Officer Dhalbhum  Mamta Priyadarshi, Deputy Conservator of Forests and Area Director Project Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Deputy Development Commissioner, Parmeshwar Bhagat and all other concerned departmental officers attended.


In the beginning, the Rural Development Department, JSLPS, Social Welfare, Welfare, Panchayati Raj, Supplies, Labor Department, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative Department etc. were reviewed sequentially, while in the second shift excise, transport, municipal bodies, road construction, drinking water and Sanitation, electricity, building construction and all other related departments were reviewed. 


The Minister said that this is his first meeting as the Minister in charge of the district, in such an attempt has been made to know the problems related to the implementation of development schemes and revenue collection in the district so that their proper solution can be found.


In the meeting, MLA Jamshedpur East suggested implementing the schemes in the city under the head DMFT, on which the Deputy Commissioner assured that the plans of the urban area would also be linked to it. Information was taken from the District Co-operative Officer about the number of properties of the cooperative in the district. 
 MLA Baharagora spoke about the loss of life and property due to the elephants. The Minister, while seriously considering the compensation to be given to the people, in addition to the present compensation, what other provisions can be given in it and also discussed on training the local youth to avoid the elephants. 


Regarding the deputation of teachers from rural schools to urban areas, a clear instruction was given by the Minister that without proper reason and without informing the higher authorities, the officials of the Education Department would ensure that teachers are not deputed. 

In the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Director DRDA, Director NEP, District Transport Officer, District Land Acquisition Officer, Municipal Officer, District Public Relations Officer, District Panchayati Raj Officer, Executive Engineer of various departments, District Land Conservation Officer, District Agriculture Officer, DPM JSLPS and other concerned departmental officers were present.
