Kolhan University Announces Major Reshuffle of Principals and Faculty

Chaibasa: Kolhan University has issued an official notification announcing the transfer and reassignment of several principals, professors, and teaching staff across its constituent colleges. The order, released by the Registrar under the directives of the Vice-Chancellor, comes into immediate effect.

The Registrar confirmed that these changes aim to strengthen academic administration and ensure smoother operations under the Jharkhand State Universities Act.

Key Administrative Transfers

The reshuffle involves several high-profile shifts in leadership across the region’s colleges:

• Dr. Neeta Sinha: Transferred from Jamshedpur Women’s College to Workers’ College, Jamshedpur.
• Dr. Amar Singh: Formerly the Principal of Tata College, Chaibasa, he will now serve as Principal of Degree College, Jagannathpur.
• Prof. Rinky Dorai: Appointed as the Principal-in-Charge at Tata College, Chaibasa.
• Dr. Md Najrul Islam: Moved from Degree College, Jagannathpur to Workers’ College, Jamshedpur.
• Pankaj Srivastava: Transferred from Model College, Kharsawan to Tata College, Chaibasa.

Cancellations and Departmental Adjustments

The university also revised previous assignments and specific departmental duties:

• Withdrawn Assignments: The university cancelled Dr. Ladli Kumari’s engagement at ABM College and Dr. Basant Shubhankar’s assignment in the PG Department of Chemistry.
• Specialized Duties: Dr. Brajesh Kumar from Tata College, Chaibasa, will now handle teaching and departmental duties in the PG Department of Chemistry on a part-time basis, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
