Jamshedpur Schools Unite to Honour Workers on Labour Day

Jamshedpur, May 2: Schools across the city celebrated Labour Day with gratitude and respect, organising special programmes to honour the invaluable contribution of support staff. Students and teachers came together to recognise the dignity of labour.

Loyola School Bistupur: The school observed Labour Day at the Fasy Auditorium, honouring support staff with a formal procession, cultural performances, and tokens of appreciation. Principal Fr. Vinod Fernandes emphasised practising respect for labour every day.

Jusco School Kadma: The celebration at Kudy Mahanaty Auditorium honoured supporting staff through performances and games. Principal Jhumjhumi Nandi highlighted kindness and respect, while Usha Mahanand, Deepa Mukhi, and Danardan Mahato secured top positions in activities.

Kerala Samajam Model School: KSMS, along with its Alumni Association, honoured support staff with gifts, greeting cards, and vouchers, recognising their role in maintaining a safe and functional campus environment.

Central Public School Adityapur: Students organised cultural programmes, including songs and a street play, to highlight the dignity of labour and express gratitude to the school’s support staff.

J.H. Tarapore School: Students presented a colourful programme for support staff, including a short play and dance performances. Gifts were distributed, and Vice Principal Rukshana Gardin appreciated their dedication.

Baridih High School: Students and teachers celebrated Labour Day with cultural performances. Support staff showcased their talents, and Principal Sangeeta Haldar honoured their contributions.

Narbheram Hansraj English School: The school organised speeches, poems, and card distribution. Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury stressed the importance of respecting every role in society.

Kashidih High School: Students presented cultural tributes and gifted handmade items to support staff. Principal Francis Joseph praised their dedication during the celebration.

Lajpat Public School: The Shramik Samman Samaroh included speeches, dances, and felicitation of staff members with gifts, highlighting their role as nation builders.

Motilal Nehru Public School: The school celebrated with speeches, performances, and games, creating a joyful atmosphere of unity and appreciation for all staff members.

SDSM School for Excellence: Students presented songs, dances, and skits, honouring workers with gifts and reinforcing the message that no work is small or insignificant.

Shiksha Niketan School: The celebration featured prayers, songs, and dance performances by students, expressing gratitude to the support staff.

Sheyn International School: The programme included speeches, songs, and dance performances honouring support service staff, reflecting appreciation and unity.

R.V.S. Academy Mango: Students performed songs and dances, and staff were honoured with gifts. School leaders highlighted the importance of respect and gratitude.

Modern English School: Students paid tribute through performances and honoured ground staff. Principal Santosh Singh emphasised that workers are the backbone of society.

Loyola School Telco: Day was observed with gratitude for its support staff. The programme began with an introduction by Khushi Kumari, followed by a ceremonial escort by the Drum and Bugle Corps and a prayer service seeking blessings for all workers and their families.
