Chaibasa, Oct 29: National Cricket Club, Badajamda team defeated Jagannathpur Cricket Club by 72 runs in the SR Rungta B-Division League match played under the aegis of West Singhbhum District Cricket Association at Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium ground on Friday.
Batting first after losing the toss National Cricket Club Badajamda scored 203 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 30 overs. Ravi Chaudhary scored 66 runs with the help of 14 fours and Suraj Kumar scored an unbeaten 54 runs with the help of four fours and three sixes. Ashish Tanwar scored 33 runs and Sagar Kumar Jha scored 20. For Jagannathpur Cricket Club, Shahid Afridi took three wickets for 35 runs. Merajul Islam and Mohd Arif got one wicket each.
Chasing 204 runs to win, Jagannathpur Cricket Club managed to score 131 and lost the match by 72 runs. Shadan Alam scored 52 runs with the help of six fours and one six and Ashad Hafeez scored 21 runs with the help of two fours and two sixes. For National Cricket Club, Sunny Mishra took 4 wickets giving away 56 runs. Sagar Kumar and Sahil Lodh got one wicket each. Tomorrow Friends Colts Chaibasa will face Pratap Cricket Club Cricket Club Chaibasa.
