Jamshedpur, May 2 : In view of the upcoming NEET-UG 2026 examination, authorities in Jamshedpur have issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement and prevent congestion across the city on May 3.
As per an official order, the operation of all heavy vehicles will be strictly prohibited between 11 AM and 8 PM, with the only exception being buses.
The restriction aims to facilitate hassle-free commuting for thousands of examination candidates and maintain order during the high-traffic examination hours.
The directive has been jointly endorsed by the district’s top administrative and police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, and the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic), East Singhbhum.
Authorities have urged transporters and the general public to adhere to the restrictions and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed across key junctions.
The temporary measure is expected to significantly ease traffic flow and ensure timely arrival of candidates at their examination centres.
