Jamshedpur, May 31: A delegation of Marwari Yuva Manch steel city branch’s women’s group Surabhi organized a awareness campaign on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day being observed on May 31. The Surabhi delegation led by unit President Usha Chaudhary and including Secretary Nidhi Agarwal, Treasurer Neelam Debuka and Shweta Pasari, conducted a campaign at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGMCH) on Tuesday urging the family members and attendants of patients as well as other visitors at the Hospital to give up the tobacco habit as the use of tobacco in varied forms were the cause of several diseases including cancer. A video film was shown to them at the conclusion of which people vowed to avoid tobacco addiction. The people assured to cooperate and participate in Surabhi campaigns against the use of tobacco.
