Gamharia, July 18: XITE Gamharia took a proactive step towards enhancing road safety and emergency preparedness by organizing a comprehensive training session titled ‘Farishtey – First Aid’. The event, held in collaboration with EMRI Green Health Services and CII YI Yuva Jamshedpur Chapter Road Safety Vertical, aimed to equip participants with life-saving skills crucial for accident response.
Over 55 enthusiastic students participated in the training session, held at the college’s conference hall. Led by esteemed instructors Dr. Pankaj Sachan, Senior Clinical Teacher from Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) Hyderabad, and Akash, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician from EMRI Hyderabad, the session focused on imparting essential knowledge in emergency response.
Shruti Jhujhunwala, Chairperson of Road Safety Vertical, YI Yuva Jamshedpur Chapter, Co-Chairperson Sakshi Gupta, and Anupama Gupta graced the event, emphasizing the significance of the initiative. Their dedication to road safety and community welfare underscored the importance of such training programs.
The 4-hour long training program covered crucial aspects including general theory, trauma emergency management, bleeding control, CPR skills, and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). Practical sessions and demonstrations were conducted to ensure effective learning and application of skills.
XITE Nodal Officer Ashish Singh and the organizing team were instrumental in planning and executing this impactful training session, which received widespread participation and positive feedback from the student community.
