Jamshedpur, June 24: In an inspiring display of honesty and integrity, a vegetable vendor in Jamshedpur’s Sakchi area helped a woman recover her lost gold bracelet worth approximately Rs 2.5 lakh after finding it in a busy market and handing it over to the police.
The incident took place at the vegetable market near Basant Talkies in Sakchi, where a woman accidentally lost her gold bracelet while shopping. Realizing the ornament was missing, she approached Sakchi Police Station and lodged a written complaint, seeking assistance in tracing the valuable jewellery.
Amid the search, local vegetable vendor Ahmed Hamid discovered the gold bracelet within the market premises. Demonstrating remarkable honesty, he chose not to keep the ornament or seek any personal gain. Instead, he promptly handed it over to Sakchi police on Wednesday.
Following the necessary verification and legal formalities, police successfully identified the rightful owner and returned the bracelet to the woman.
