Jamshedpur, July 5: The Jamshedpur branch of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) Jharkhand organized a press conference on Saturday to launch its official website, IADVLJharkhand.com, aimed at helping the public identify and verify qualified, board-certified dermatologists.
The website has been developed to provide patients with authentic information about IADVL-registered dermatologists across Jharkhand and to promote informed healthcare decisions.
Speaking at the event, Dr. R. Kumar, State Secretary of IADVL Jharkhand, said the portal would serve as a reliable platform where patients can verify the credentials of board-certified dermatologists before seeking treatment. He emphasized that consulting qualified specialists was essential for safe and effective skin care.
Addressing the media, Dr. Rajiv Thakur said that with an increasing number of people relying on social media and digital platforms for health-related information, the website would offer a trusted source of accurate and verified information. He advised the public to independently verify the qualifications and registration of anyone claiming to be a dermatologist if their name was not listed on the official portal.
The press conference was attended by several board-certified dermatologists, including Dr. R. Kumar, Dr. Rajiv Thakur, Dr. Deep Anurag, Dr. S. N. Singh, Dr. Rajkiran, Dr. Banashree Majumdar, Dr. A. J. Bhuri, Dr. Shreyansh Singh, and Dr. Tulika Anand.
The initiative is expected to strengthen public awareness about qualified dermatological care and encourage patients to seek treatment only from certified specialists.
