Jamshedpur, Jan 19: Traffic police launched a campaign to remove heavy vehicles from roadside in Golmuri on Thursday. They seized several trucks and other heavy vehicles parked without permission on both flanks of the main road from JRD Tata roundabout till HSM Gate.
The traffic police team was led by Inspector Bhushan Kumar. He said the campaign was carried out on the instructions of senior officials. He said it would continue indefinitely. “Unauthorized and reckless parking of heavy vehicles on roadside is a major cause of road accidents. Those found parking vehicles here and there without permission would be prosecuted,” he added.
