JNAC SO holds meet on dumping yard beautification

Jamshedpur, Jan 19: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) Special Officer Sanjay Kumar convened a meeting at his office to discuss the proposed beautification of dumping yard near Marine Drive. Public safety issues were also discussed at the meeting.

According to Kumar, “All three municipal bodies of the city and officials of Tata Steel UISL are together mulling over strategy to make the dumping yard safer and beautiful. The measures are being taken under the 15^th Finance Commission funds with the purpose of safeguarding public health and environment.”

Kumar said a joint team of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC), JNAC and Tata Steel UISL had visited the dumping yard and inspected the site. Discussions were held to prevent major fire at the dumping yard and prevent its adverse impact on the environment, he said.
