Jadugora: A community development building was handed over to the villagers of Nagadih village situated near the Badhurang Uranium Project in Jadugora under Potka block of East Singhbhum by the Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) on Friday.

Inaugurating the community building, constructed at a cost of Rs 8 lakh, N Patil, senior official of UCIL, said the new facility will prove to be of great benefit for the villagers. We hope the people utilize this facility for their overall development. We also expect the villagers to cooperate in running the uranium project smoothly.”

UCIL authorities meanwhile learnt about the drinking water problem being faced in the government school at Nagadih and assured to take steps to solve it.

The company management had earlier provided benches and desks to the school on the demand of the school officials. They said they will continue to help the villagers in every manner possible.
