Jamshedpur: The Mango Police in Jamshedpur have successfully apprehended two history-sheeters involved in an illegal arms trade operation in the Daiguttu area of Mango. The arrested individuals, Gopal Saw (34) and Govind Sharma (56), were caught in possession of illegal firearms and materials used for making country-made guns. The police action came after a tip-off was received by the SSP on 29th November regarding an arms deal being conducted in the area. Following this information, a team was formed and a raid was carried out in Mango Daiguttu, where the two suspects were found negotiating the sale of weapons.

During the raid, police recovered a semi-automatic pistol and materials used for manufacturing country-made guns from the suspects’ residence. Govind Sharma, who has previously been arrested for making and selling country-made pistols, and Gopal Saw, who has a criminal background, both confessed to their involvement in the illegal trade. The police have now sent both criminals to judicial custody. Authorities are continuing to investigate the illegal weapons network. The successful operation was a result of coordinated efforts by the police team, and the department has vowed to continue cracking down on the illegal arms trade in the region. The arrest of these two history-sheeters has been hailed as a major success in the fight against illegal arms trafficking in Jamshedpur.
