Gamharia, Aug 23: An 18 year-old youth, identified as Brihaspati Nayak, resident of Bolaidih, Motinagar, under Gamharia police station area, reportedly committed suicide in his house late Monday night.
Sources said the youth was found hanging from the ceiling of his room this morning. He was awake till midnight after having his dinner. His father and sister went in his room and found him hanging with the help of a cloth. The cause of suicide is not known as yet, they told police.
In another related incident, one Sumit Gorai of Road No 2, Motinagar, committed suicide in his house today. He was a friend of Brihaspati Nayak. Both worked in a local tent house. Cops suspect Sumit took the extreme step after coming to know about his friend’s suicide.
