Jamshedpur: The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( SCCI) has appealed to citizens, business establishments, and families across Jharkhand to actively participate in the Self-Enumeration process for Census 2027, recently launched by the Government of India.
Under this initiative, citizens can now conveniently complete their census registration online from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones or laptops. The Chamber highlighted that the digital self-enumeration process is simple, secure, and transparent, and is expected to significantly enhance the speed and accuracy of the nationwide census exercise.
The Chamber has urged participants to exercise utmost caution while entering their details, emphasizing that no corrections will be possible once the information is finally submitted.
Stressing the importance of accurate and comprehensive census data, the Chamber noted that it plays a crucial role in shaping development policies and planning related to infrastructure, education, healthcare, employment, and trade. It therefore called upon every household to ensure its participation in this vital national exercise.
The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry also appealed to trade bodies, industrial units, and social organizations to spread awareness about the self-enumeration process and encourage more people to complete their census digitally.
Demonstrating its commitment to the initiative, office-bearers and members of the Chamber today completed the self-enumeration process themselves using mobile phones at the Chamber Bhawan, setting an example for the wider community to follow.
