
Jamshedpur, Nov. 20: Two persons were killed as a car coming from opposite direction rammed into them while they were crossing the road near Baradwari in Sakchi at 6 am on Wednesday.

Those killed were identified as Jeevas Ram (45) and Dhanichan Ram (60) while Singwar Ram ( 60) was injured in the mishap and was rushed to the hospital. The victims used to work with wedding bands and to utter surprise the decorated car that ran over them was returning from a wedding. According to information soon after the mishap, the driver left the car and managed to flee.

The local people managed to nab a youth who was in the car. He has been identified as Rahul who was returning from wedding at Rajendra Vidhyalaya. �

A police official confirmed about the road mishap near Baradwari today.

“As per our investigation a car driver rammed into a portion on the footpath where workers of wedding band party were returning,” he said.
