Jamshedpur, Nov 26: Sidhgora police arrested two persons for allegedly cheating a Baridih-based man of Rs 2 lakh in the name of selling him a government land in Moharda.

Those arrested were identified as Rajesh Pramanik and his uncle Lakhindra Pramanik of Baridih.

Sources said the accused had promised to give a piece of land measuring one katha to the alleged victim, Shambhu Pramanik, against a payment of Rs 2 lakh. The accused persons had received Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and Rs 50,000 in their account, alleged Shambhu.
