Ghatshila, June 24: ‘Toy Day’ was organized on Friday at Sant Nandlal Smriti Vidya Mandir (SNSVM). Students between Nursery and UKG classes wore colourful dresses and carried a variety of toys. The school teachers encouraged the enthusiasm of the children and also entertained them. On this occasion, Primary Wing In-charge Sujata Verma explained the importance of toys in the lives of children. She said that toys were the true companions of children during their formative years. Sujata said, “Playing with toys provides children with ample opportunities to know their surroundings and learn about the culture of many countries. Even NEP has directed teachers to use toys while teaching children.” She urged the children to gift toys to poor children.
The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. SNSVM Manager Dr Prasenjit KarmakarPAll the children’s play and learn a lot from this program. Finally the program was concluded with the National Anthem.
