Jamshedpur, May 8: Work on the parking zone near Tatanagar Junction railway station has entered its final phase, with large-scale soil filling and ground preparation progressing at a brisk pace. The long-awaited road construction work on the Bagbera–Jugsalai stretch is likely to commence from next week, bringing much-needed relief to commuters and local residents.
Officials associated with the project have set an ambitious target to complete the entire development before the upcoming Durga Puja season. Given the current speed of execution by the contractor, many locals are optimistic that the work could be finished even ahead of schedule.
The ongoing development is aimed at strengthening connectivity and upgrading infrastructure around the Bagbera and Jugsalai approach areas adjoining the station. The project is expected to significantly ease traffic movement and improve passenger convenience in one of the busiest transit zones of the city.
However, no construction activity has yet been planned for the Burmamines side, with authorities currently concentrating their efforts on the Bagbera–Jugsalai corridor.
