Three detained in Golmuri shootout

Jamshedpur, Feb 26: Police here on Sunday detained three persons in connection with the incident of firing in Golmuri Muslim Basti. Those detained include one Munna, a local resident, sources said.

Cops are interrogating the three accused and also trying to search for other culprits with the help of CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene. A police team has also gone to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) to record the statement of the victim, Amandeep, who is under treatment. Amandeep was passing by Muslim Basti late Saturday night when he saw one Abdullah and others allegedly beating one Lovepreet. When Amandeep tried to intervene, the accused persons assaulted him and opened fire on him. Amandeep sustained a bullet wound in his back.
