644 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana homes in Jamshedpur ready for handover on June 19

Jamshedpur, June 15: Preparations are in full swing for the housewarming-cum-handover ceremony of 644 newly constructed dwelling units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Affordable Housing Scheme (Component-3) at Birsanagar.
The event is scheduled to be held on June 19, Friday.
Acting on departmental directives, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar inspected the project site at Birsanagar and reviewed arrangements for the upcoming programme.
During the inspection, officials from JUDCO, contractors associated with Blocks 8 and 23, drainage construction agencies, city management officials, CLTC experts, and engineers from the engineering wing were instructed to ensure the successful execution of the event and completion of all pending works.
The housewarming programme will cover 644 completed housing units in Blocks 8 and 23. Of these, 322 beneficiaries have already deposited the full amount and will receive the keys and allotment letters for their new homes during the ceremony on June 19.
The initiative marks a significant milestone in providing affordable housing to urban beneficiaries and advancing the government’s vision of “Housing for All.”
