Telcon union president Ramchandra retires

Jamshedpur: Telcon Workers Union president Ramchandra retired from service on Monday. He worked in Tata Hitachi for 40 years. He was the president of the union for four consecutive terms from March 2006 onwards. The union authorities are likely to announce the name of the new president in the next 10 days. Meanwhile, sources said, the union secretary SK Singh has been made the new spokesperson. He was given charge at the union office in the presence of all office-bearers and committee members. So far, the general secretary Chitranjan Manjhi has been discharging the duties as the spokesperson. Six months ago, Manjhi had announced to quit the post to pave way for other members to take charge on his post.
