Jamshedpur: Four unidentified armed criminals reportedly robbed Rs 1000 and three mobile phones from two students, Laxman Sharan and Mantu Maithy, near Burmamines auto rickshaw stand. The incident occurred around 2.45 am. Sources said the victims had arrived at Tatanagar railway station in the Hatia-Howrah Express train around 2.30 am. The two were returning home after appearing in the Jharkhand Combined Competitive Exam in Ranchi. On reaching the auto-rickshaw stand, the two were intercepted by four persons riding a scootie and a bike. One of the strangers pointed a pistol on the victims and demanded money. On resisting, Maithy was injured with the knife. Thereafter, the culprits snatched the cash and three mobile phones from the possession of the victims and escaped from the scene.
