Jamshedpur, June 2: With the onset of summer holidays, there has been a significant rise in the number of people traveling by train. To accommodate the increased passenger influx, the South Eastern Railway has taken the initiative to add additional coaches to 20 trains. This decision aims to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free travel experience for passengers during this busy period.
The schedule for adding the extra coaches is as follows: an additional coach will be added to the Tata-Katihar train on June 3rd and 4th, the Howrah-Bengaluru SMVP train on June 6th, the Howrah-Kantabaji Ispat Express on June 4th, and two coaches to the Hatia-Ernakulam train on June 5th. Additionally, the Howrah Tirupati Express will also have an additional bogie on June 3rd.
Furthermore, the Ranchi-New Delhi Express on June 3rd, Ranchi-Pune Express on June 3rd, Ranchi-Ara Express on June 3rd, Hatia-Purnia Express from June 2nd to 4th, Ranchi-Godda Express on June 3rd, Hatia-Islampur Express, Banaras Express from June 2nd to 4th, Tata-Danapur train from June 2nd to 4th, Tata-Thave train from June 2nd to 4th, Rourkela-Gunupur train from June 2nd to 4th, Rourkela-Jaynagar train, Ranchi-Anandvihar Terminus train on June 5th, Howrah-Mumbai train on June 2nd, 5th, and 6th, Howrah-Pune train on June 3rd, and Bhubaneswar-Howrah train on June 2nd and 3rd will also receive additional coaches.
Moreover, the Bangalore-Howrah train will operate on a diverted route on June 2nd, traveling through an alternative route. Passengers are advised to take note of this change.
In another development, the Howrah-Kantabaji-Howrah Ispat Express train passing through Tatanagar will now have a stoppage at Dungripali station. The train departing from Howrah will arrive at Dungripali at 5:18 pm, while the Titlagarh-Howrah train will reach Dungripali at 6:50 am, with a departure time of 6:52 am. With the addition of these extra coaches and the introduction of new stoppages, the South Eastern Railway aims to cater to the rising demand for train travel during the summer holidays
