Jamshedpur: The Tata Motors Officers Wives Association (TMWOA) organized its annual girls’ scholarship program at the Telco Club Auditorium on Saturday. Tata Motors Plant Head Sunil Tiwari graced the occasion as the chief guest, along with senior Tata Motors officials, doctors, teachers, students, and representatives from NGOs.
During the event, TMWOA’s Mansi Management Committee, including President Neetu Tiwari, Secretary Reena Padan, Joint Secretary Deepa Fernando, Treasurer Mousumi Das, and Joint Treasurer Jaya Vardhan, shared highlights of the club’s contributions over the past year.
The Mansi Club focused on promoting education, particularly for girls, along with health, hygiene, environment, and livelihood support. This year, 101 girl students from 11 schools in Jamshedpur were awarded scholarships. In addition, the club provided wheelchairs and essential items to elderly individuals, installed blood donation beds in villages, distributed Braille kits and Daisy audio players to the visually impaired, and donated six computers to school students.
Other contributions included weighing machines, toys, eye camps with free spectacles, an ECG machine for a cancer hospital, and a drinking water basin at Sopodera school. The program was praised for its far-reaching social impact and commitment to community welfare.
