Students showcase oratory skills at DAV Bistupur

Jamshedpur, May 14: DAV Public School, Bistupur, organised the Choral Recitation and Elocution Competition 2026 in the school auditorium, providing students with a platform to showcase their creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

Students from Classes I to VI participated in the Choral Recitation competition, while students from Classes VII to X displayed their public speaking abilities in the Elocution contest.

The participants presented poems, speeches, and stories based on themes such as nature, empathy, creativity, family bonding, and the power of the mind. The performances, ranging from humorous to thought-provoking, impressed the audience with their clarity, expression, and confidence.

Pragya Singh, Principal-cum-ARO of DAV Public Schools, Zone-E, congratulated the students and said that words become meaningful only when spoken with genuine emotion and understanding.

A panel of judges comprising Dr. Basudhara Roy, Professor at Karim City College, Sharmistha Roy, senior teacher at Narbheram Hansraj English School, and Manali Chowdhury, Head of the English Department at JUSCO Kasidih High School, appreciated the students for their eloquence and encouraged them to continue developing their speaking and creative skills.

The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where winners and runners-up were awarded trophies, certificates, and sweets. Deputy Head Girl Sakshi Mahato of Class XII A5 proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of Team Aurora.
