Jamshedpur, Dec 6: Central Public School (CPS), Adityapur organized an educational tour for Class X students (Session 2025–26) to the National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Jamshedpur on 5 December 2025. A total of 39 students participated in the visit aimed at deepening their scientific understanding and exposing them to advanced research in metallurgy and material science.
The visiting group was accompanied by faculty members Dr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, Nirad Kumar Barick and Puja Singh, who guided the students throughout the programme. On arrival, the NML team warmly welcomed the participants and conducted a detailed tour of various laboratories and research units. Students observed demonstrations of metallurgical processes, testing techniques and technological innovations currently under development.
Interactive sessions with scientists provided students a firsthand understanding of practical applications of theoretical concepts taught in school. They also learned about ongoing research projects, industrial applications of metallurgical science and potential career opportunities in science and technology sectors.
CPS expressed gratitude to the Director of NML for granting permission and extending full cooperation to facilitate the visit. The school stated that such initiatives play a vital role in inspiring young learners and plans to continue organising similar educational activities in the future.
