Cockroach Janta Party Issues 5 PM Ultimatum for Pradhan Resignation; Threatens National Protest

New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has delivered a 5:00 p.m. ultimatum to the Central Government, threatening to launch countrywide demonstrations if Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan refuses to resign today.

Dipke threatened that he will start multi-city protests starting next week, culminating in another massive rally at Jantar Mantar next Saturday.

NCP (SP) General Secretary Rohit Pawar and TMC leader Sagarika Ghose have both officially extended their support to the CJP’s campaign against alleged systemic failures in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and the CBSE’s on-screen marking evaluation system.

High-Profile Backing and Security Crackdowns

The high-stakes demonstration drew prominent civil society figures alongside thousands of young supporters:

  • Sonam Wangchuk’s Solidarity: Renowned Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the protest line today. Wangchuk, who recently spent six months in detention following regional autonomy protests, called Pradhan’s resignation “only the beginning.” Crowds even chanted slogans suggesting Wangchuk should take over as the Education Minister.
  • Poetic Resistance: Activist Yogendra Yadav arrived at the venue to share inspirational poetry with the gathered youth.
  • Police Detentions: As tensions rose, Delhi Police heightened security around the capital and detained six demonstrators at Jantar Mantar. Authorities also deployed personnel at Dipke’s family residence in Maharashtra.

The Evolution of the Cockroach Janta Party

The CJP’s meteoric rise marks a unique shift in India’s political landscape:
