Jamshedpur, Jan 19: A ten-day sports festival will be organized in memory of educationist late Tafazzul Karim in Jamshedpur. The festival, set to begin on January 21, will be held at Mango under the joint aegis of the social organization Aman Welfare Mission and APJ Kalam School, informed organizing committee chairman, Dr. Afroz Shakeel.
Addressing press meet on Sunday, Dr. Shakeel said that the sports festival will feature various events, including cricket, football, karate, inter-school spelling competitions, inter-school essay competitions, quiz competitions, drawing competitions, speech competitions, and chess competitions.
The winners of these competitions will be honoured with trophies and certificates. Dr. Afroz Shakeel mentioned that approximately 1,000 school children are expected to participate in the ten-day sports festival.
It is noteworthy that January 21 marks the death anniversary of Tafazzul Karim, making this festival a meaningful tribute to his legacy.
