Seraikela: Lord Jagannath arrives at Mausi Bari

Seraikela, June 21: The vibrant and auspicious Rath Yatra, emulating the traditions of Jagannath Dham Puri, unfolded its second day in Seraikela. The revered deities, Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, accompanied by his sister Subhadra and elder brother Balabhadra, rested overnight before embarking on their grand procession from Gop Bandhu Chowk.

Chants of “Jai Jagannath Jai Jai Jagannath” echoed through the air as hundreds of devoted followers of Lord Jagannath pulled the intricately adorned chariot and walked ahead, basking in divine fervor. The Rath Yatra commenced on Wednesday evening, with devotees eagerly offering Bhog Prasad to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath as he rode upon the magnificent chariot. The priests, stationed on the chariots, then distributed the blessed prasad amongst the joyous devotees.

With boundless enthusiasm, the devotees joyfully danced and leaped in front of Mahaprabhu’s chariot, embracing the divine blessings that flowed through the prasad. As the evening wore on, Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath arrived at the main gate of Mausi Bari Gundicha temple, following his majestic journey in the chariot. The priests warmly welcomed Mahaprabhu, along with his sister Subhadra, by ceremoniously honoring elder brother Balabhadra.

Amidst the resounding echoes of conch shells, kartals, and ooludhvani, the deities of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, sister Subhadra, and elder brother Balabhadra were gracefully carried on the shoulders of devotees to the sacred throne within Mausi Bari Gundicha temple. The devotees, witnessing this divine spectacle, offered prayers and sought blessings while experiencing the divine presence of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath. The fervor of the Rath Yatra continued late into the night, with devotees relishing the festivities and rejoicing in the divine presence of Mahaprabhu. The chariot fair organized in conjunction with the Rath Yatra provided a delightful opportunity for devotees to immerse themselves in the spiritual ambiance, fostering a deep connection with Lord Jagannath.
