Seraikela DC convenes meeting for conducting Panchayat Election

Seraikela, April 13: District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal and Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash, Sub-Divisional Officer Chandil held a meeting with all ROs, AEROs and other officials concerned of Chandil sub-division area. The meeting was organized to ensure successful implementation of the three-tier Panchayat (Common) Election — 2022. The Deputy Commissioner said that for nomination of candidates for the posts of Zila Parishad, Mukhiyas, and other offices of Panchayats would have to tender their election papers to the respective Blocks. A special discussion was held on security and law and order related to tendering nominations and the election procedures. The Deputy Commissioner said that the district and police administrations were working in coordination for the successful conduct of the elections. He also announced that information related to elections would be notified to the people through social media.

The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the strong room at Chandil Polytechnic College. He said that as per the state government’s directives, the strong room and counting room will be at the sub-division level. The physical condition of the building had been reviewed and directions had been given to improve the power supply. On this occasion SDO of Chandil Ranjit Lohra, SDO, BDO, CO and other officials concerned participated in the meeting a physical verification of the strong room.
