Jamshedpur, April 13: Scorching sunny weather of the city suddenly changed to a cloudy one on Wednesday.

According to the Meteorology department, a trough running in the East-West region of the country has given rise to the cyclonic circulation in Jharkhand. As a result, a conversion is being witnessed in the northwest and southwest parts of Jharkhand. Due to this, Western and Central parts are mostly seeing partial clouds, said meteorologist Abhishek Anand.

Anand said partly clouded sky is visible in the western and central parts of the state. “Due to the trough formation, rain accompanied by thundering is expected in West Singhbhum, Gumla and Simdega. People should not venture out during this period. They should especially stay away from trees and electric poles to avoid electrocution due to lightning,” he said.

Anand went on to inform that Daltonganj remained the hottest city in Jharkhand on Wednesday as it recorded a maximum temperature of 44.8 degree Celsius. Jamshedpur remained the second hottest city of the state by recording a temperature of 42 degree Celsius. Ranchi recorded 39 degree Celsius, lowest temperature as compared to all other Jharkhand cities, he said.

As per Met department forecast, weather will be dry on 14^th and 15^th April. From 16^th April onwards, the weather will change. From 16^th till 19^th, partially clouded sky would be visible in the north-eastern and eastern parts of the state and rain with thundering can be expected in these places. In the remaining parts, mercury may rise further and heat waves are also expected.
