Sengar suffered an eye injury in childhood when lime fell into her eye. Her family could not afford the necessary medical care due to severe financial constraints.
During the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ event on September 19, Rahul Gandhi invited students on stage to discuss their concerns. Sengar shared her educational challenges and medical condition with him.
The Leader of Opposition invited her to Delhi shortly after the event to undergo medical treatment. Medical professionals completed the procedure successfully, restoring her eyesight.
Congress leader Supriya Shrinate shared details of the incident on social media platform X. She confirmed that Gandhi personally managed the arrangements for Sengar’s entire treatment process.
The party released a video showing Sengar smiling while looking out of an aircraft window. She expressed her gratitude and returned home by plane for the first time.
