Rotary Jamshedpur Steel City gifts pink bicycles to economically weaker students

Jamshedpur, July 1: The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City marked the beginning of the new Rotary year with a series of impactful events across the city, reflecting its commitment to community service and empowerment.

To mark the leadership transition for 2025–26, the new executive committee took charge under the leadership of President Krishna Kumar Kharia and Secretary Jitesh Chaudhary. The new board includes Vice President Preeti Khara, Immediate Past President Shivani Goyal, President Elect Umang Jhunjhunwala, and Treasurer Saurabh Agarwal, among others.

A session on Peace and Energy Management was organized for police personnel in collaboration with Pranic Healing Center, Adityapur. The session, supported by Jamshedpur SSP Piyush Pandey, introduced techniques like breathing exercises, meditation, and forgiveness to help manage stress. Twin Heart Meditation was also practiced.

Under the Paddling Dreams, Empowering Girls initiative, six pink bicycles were distributed to economically weaker students of Surat Sarvajanik ME Gujarati School, Bistupur, to promote safe access to education.

As part of its green mission, Rotary Steel City began its plantation drive by planting 50 saplings at the CRPF campus in Adityapur, with the support of 30 jawans. The club has set a target of 2,000 saplings for the year.

The club also launched Project SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) at Multitech Components Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Arogyaam. Sixty-five employees received CPR training and health checkups under this initiative.

In another industry-oriented step, Project Jaloday was launched to promote water conservation through water audits, beginning at Multitech Components Pvt. Ltd., led by Nalin Goyal.
