Jamshedpur, April 19: The Bengali New Year (Naba Barso) was celebrated with enthusiasm at The Milanee Club in Bistupur on Saturday evening. The programme was held at the club premises and was chaired by Club President Sekhar Dey.
During the event, several prominent personalities were felicitated for their contributions. Among those honoured were Tapash Mitra, a noted lawyer of Jamshedpur and President of Bengal Club, and Paresh Kumar Nandi, President of Netaji Subhash Mancha. Mousumi Bhattacharjee and members of Pratik Sangharsh were also recognised.
The celebration featured a musical performance by artists from Kolkata, including Debashree Tarafdar and Sayantan Adhikari, which added to the festive atmosphere.
Addressing the gathering, Sekhar Dey extended his greetings on the occasion. The programme was smoothly conducted by anchor Pritilekha Roy, making the event lively and memorable for all attendees.
