Jamshedpur: The BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar Anushuchit Jati (SC) Morcha organized a seminar under its “Samman Abhiyan” at the Adivasi Association Auditorium in Sitaramdera on Sunday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Chaired by SC Morcha District President Paresh Mukhi, the event featured prominent speakers, including former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, former Minister Dulal Bhuiyan, BJP Jamshedpur President Sanjeev Sinha, and Kolhan In-charge Abhay Singh.
The seminar began with a solemn ceremony where District General Secretary P.K. Karwa read the Preamble to the Constitution. Attendees took an oath to remain dedicated to national unity, secularism, social development, and the strengthening of democracy.
Empowerment Over Vote-Bank Politics: Madhu Koda
Addressing the gathering as the keynote speaker, former CM Madhu Koda asserted that previous governments treated Dalits merely as a “vote bank.” In contrast, he claimed the BJP government has initiated ground-level reforms for their upliftment.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision has transformed sites associated with Baba Saheb into ‘Panch Tirtha’ (Five Holy Sites),” Koda stated. “The NDA government is realizing Dr. Ambedkar’s dreams by ensuring economic, educational, and social progress for the SC and ST communities through hundreds of central schemes.”
Architect of Modern India: Dulal Bhuiyan
Former Minister Dulal Bhuiyan described Dr. Ambedkar as the pioneer of social renaissance and the architect of a modern, egalitarian nation. He credited Baba Saheb’s efforts for integrating the marginalized and oppressed classes into the mainstream of development by eradicating the roots of inequality through the Constitution.
BJP vs. Opposition Ideologies
BJP District President Sanjeev Sinha accused the Congress party of conspiring against Dr. Ambedkar and insulting the spirit of the Constitution in the past. He argued that while opposition parties used Baba Saheb for political gains, the Modi government has worked to ensure social justice and equal opportunities for all citizens.
Kolhan In-charge Abhay Singh echoed the sentiments, noting that since 2014, the central government has given Dr. Ambedkar his due respect by developing his birthplace, place of education, place of initiation, place of Mahaparinirvana, and Chaityabhoomi.
