Police raid MGM hospital’s prison ward in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 19 : Sakchi Police raided the prisoner ward of MGM Hospital on Friday. Police received a tip off that a network of inmates were allegedly running illegal operations. Congress leader Ishwar Singh who is accused in a murder and firing case was running a gang from the hospital under the guise of medical treatment. Police seized two expensive mobile phones during the raid which were being used by Singh and two other inmates, Saba Singh and Shubham Singh who are in the Bagbera and Adityapur jail for separate cases.

Sakchi Police station officer-in-charge Anand Mishra said, “Three people had been using the hospital’s prison ward for the past 10-15 days by pretending to be sick while enjoying the amenities.”  The phones were used to coordinate activities related to the murder of Shaktinath Singh, the brother of Amarnath Singh of Mango. Case have been registered against all three inmates at Sakchi Police station and the police are investigating the case further.
