Seraikela, April 21: Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan district, Ravi Shankar Shukla, was honored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on the occasion of Civil Services Day. The award recognized his outstanding contribution to administrative service in 2024, specifically for exemplary performance in the Aspirational Block Program.

Shukla’s efforts were acknowledged for driving impactful development initiatives under the program in his district. He was joined at the ceremony by Deputy Development Commissioner Ashish Kumar Agarwal (IAS) and Gamharia BDO Abhay Kumar Dwivedi.
The Aspirational Block Program, launched by NITI Aayog on January 7, 2023, aimed at holistic development of 500 backward blocks across the country. It focused on five key areas — health, nutrition, education, agriculture and allied services, and basic infrastructure. NITI Aayog’s recent visit to Seraikela-Kharsawan also lauded Shukla’s effective implementation of the program.
