Jamshedpur, June 26: A person lost his life after being struck by a train on Tuesday night near Dukhu Market in Jugsalai. Upon receiving reports, police arrived at the scene at 11 am on Wednesday, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The deceased has yet to be identified.
Police officials were seeking information from locals regarding missing persons in the area to aid in the identification process. Nityanand Prasad, the the Jugsalai PS In-charge, reported that early in the morning, locals notified authorities of a body discovered on the railway tracks. Upon inspection, it appeared the individual was fatally injured after being struck by a passing train while crossing the tracks.
