Admission process for 25% reserved seats in Jamshedpur Private Schools Completed, 1,205 Students Selected

Jamshedpur: The admission process for children under the 25% reservation quota in private schools has been completed successfully, with 1,205 students selected through a transparent lottery system. The final list has been published on the official website, enabling parents to verify results easily.

Lottery-based selection ensures transparency

Officials informed that the selection process was conducted through a computerized lottery system to maintain fairness and eliminate any scope for bias. A large number of applications were received this year, reflecting increasing awareness among parents about the provision.

Strong response from applicants

“ This year saw significant participation from families belonging to economically weaker sections, underlining the demand for access to quality education in private institutions,” said Ashish Kumar Pandey, District Superintendent of Education ( DSE).

Year-wise application trend

Data shared by authorities highlights the growing number of applicants in recent years. The upward trend indicates both improved outreach and trust in the admission process conducted under the reservation policy.

Admission under RTE provisions

The admissions were carried out under the framework of the Right to Education Act, which mandates private schools to reserve 25% of their seats for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The initiative aims to promote inclusive and equitable education.

Instructions for selected candidates

Parents of the selected students have been advised to complete admission formalities within the given deadline. Necessary documents must be submitted to the allotted schools to secure the seats.

Monitoring and grievance redressal

Authorities have assured strict monitoring to ensure compliance by private schools. In case of any discrepancies or denial of admission, parents can lodge complaints with the concerned department for prompt action.

The completion of the admission process marks a significant step toward strengthening inclusive education and expanding opportunities for underprivileged children in the region.
