New Delhi: In a significant development, the Delhi Police has successfully apprehended Lalit Mohan Jha, the alleged mastermind behind the recent security lapse at Parliament. A case has been registered under sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act (UAPA) and the Indian Penal Code. Jha, who had been on the run since the incident, voluntarily surrendered himself at a Delhi police duty station, accompanied by an individual named Mahesh.
Following extensive interrogation, both Lalit Mohan Jha and Mahesh were handed over to the Special Cell. Earlier, four individuals were arrested in connection with the security lapse, and they have been remanded to police custody for seven days by the court. The Delhi Special Cell is actively conducting thorough interrogations of all the accused to uncover further details. The arrest of Lalit Mohan Jha marks a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation into the lapse in Parliament security.
