Chill set to intensify in Jharkhand as cold winds sweep in: Morning fog expected

Ranchi: Jharkhand is bracing for a further drop in temperatures as cold winds from North India continue to sweep through the region. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand predicts a decline in the minimum temperature, with Garhwa recording 7.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

Over the past 24 hours, Ranchi has experienced a noticeable dip in temperature, decreasing by 1.2 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature in Ranchi stood at 10.2 degrees Celsius, while on Thursday, it dropped to 9 degrees Celsius. Simultaneously, Kanke witnessed an increase in minimum temperature by 1.4 degrees Celsius, rising from 5.0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday to 6.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

The cold winds from the northern region are the primary factor behind the escalating chill in Jharkhand. As the temperatures continue to drop, residents can expect the onset of morning fog, contributing to the wintry conditions in the state.
