Noida (IANS): The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has joined the investigation into the recent vandalism and arson during Noida’s violent workers’ protests after preliminary inquiries suggested a suspected Pakistani connection.
Taking the matter with “utmost seriousness,” the ATS is now scrutinizing every aspect of the incident to uncover a possible foreign conspiracy. While thousands of workers initially took to the streets to voice grievances, the situation rapidly spiraled into coordinated violence, resulting in arson and the destruction of public property.
Investigating agencies suspect that the entire episode was premeditated. Specifically, they believe a conspiracy sought to incite unrest and destabilize the region through digital platforms.
The ATS is conducting a detailed probe into X (formerly Twitter) and other social media accounts that circulated inflammatory posts, provocative videos, and misinformation during the unrest. Sources indicate that digital forensics has traced several suspicious accounts to locations outside India, raising immediate concerns about Pakistani interference.
The digital forensics team is currently analyzing IP addresses and network connections to determine if these accounts link to terrorist organizations or organized criminal networks. Authorities believe these handles acted as catalysts to spread rumors and provoke workers into violence.
The administration has vowed that “culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.” While the investigation continues, officials expect further significant revelations regarding the cross-border network in the coming days.
