Jamshedpur, March 4: Taking its safety excellence journey to the next level, Tata Steel’s newly developed Practical Safety Training Centre was inaugurated by Noel Tata, Vice Chairman, Tata Steel on March 3.

CEO & MD Tata Steel TV Narendran, VP SHS Sanjiv Paul, VP SHS (Designate) Rajiv Mangal, President Tata Workers Union Sanjeev Chaudhury and senior leadership team of management and union were also present. The Practical Safety Training Centre has been developed with the purpose to improve the risk perception of the workforce on various critical hazards.

Here, hands-on training shall be imparted to the employees and contractors on different modules such as Working at Height, Material Handling, Gas Safety, Confined Space, Heavy vehicle simulators, First Aid & CPR, and Virtual Reality for moving machinery.

Chief safety Neeraj Sinha along with the safety professionals explained the training pedagogy to the guests.
