Jamshedpur, March 4: Tata Steel UISL celebrated the National Lineman Diwas to felicitate the tireless efforts of the linemen who light up our homes and lives through their services to ensure reliable and uninterrupted power supply 24×7.
National Lineman Diwas is an initiative of the Ministry of Power and Central Electricity Authority to honour our linemen.
The program started with unfurling of the National Lineman Diwas Flag by Ritu Raj Sinha, MD, Tata Steel UISL and Raghunath Pandey, President Jusco Shramik Union (JSU). Followed by presentations by Satyaraj Rath, Chief Divisional Manager, Safety and VP Singh, GM, Power Services on how linemen work in challenging situations and the importance of their services especially through difficult times like storms, cyclones, COVID etc.
MD Tata Steel UISL and President JSU also saluted the services of the linemen of the company and felicitated over 100 linemen and 10 linemen facilitators who guide the linemen in their areas of work.
The program was attended by over 500 employees and the senior officials of the company and JSU.
