NIT Jamshedpur Student Secures All India Rank 1 in GATE 2026

Jamshedpur: Tejavath Manoj Kumar, a student from the Electrical Engineering department at NIT Jamshedpur, has secured the first rank across India in the GATE 2026 examination. A native of Telangana, Tejavath’s achievement marks a historic milestone for the premier technical institute.

Tejavath delivered a flawless performance, scoring 92 out of 100 and achieving a perfect GATE score of 1000 to clinch the top spot at the national level.

Congratulating the topper on this remarkable success, Prof. (Dr.) Goutam Sutradhar, Director of NIT Jamshedpur, stated that this extraordinary achievement brings immense pride to the institution.

Success in Metallurgy: Adayant Mishra Secures AIR 40

In another significant win for the campus, Adayant Mishra, a third-year Metallurgy and Materials Engineering student, secured All India Rank (AIR) 40.

Adayant, who hails from Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, credited the institution’s faculty and his family for his success. He specifically acknowledged the unwavering support of his parents, Dilip Kumar Mishra and Shashi Mishra, along with his sister, in helping him achieve this national ranking.
