Jamshedpur, June 15: There has been a new twist in the case of the letter and allegations leveled by JMM candidate from Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Sameer Mohanty against Congress’ Jamshedpur district president Anand Bihari Dubey of embezzling Rs 25 lakh.
Sameer Mohanti has said that his letter head, seal and signature have been used fraudulently. Sameer Mohanti has backtracked from his statement and said that his letter has been misused. He has not written this letter. This is a fake letter.
While talking to a channel, he said that it is possible that this is a part of Congress’s internal politics. But he has not written this letter. He has said that he has nothing to do with this letter.
On the other hand, it has been written in the letter that Rs 25 lakh was given to Congress district president Anand Bihari Dubey and Rs 6,000 was to be given for each booth. In such a situation, there are 1885 polling booths in Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat.
If there is payment of Rs 6,000 per booth, then the total expenditure in 1885 polling booths is Rs 1.13 crore, which is a violation of the Election Commission’s guidelines.
In such a situation, if Sameer Mohanty had to spend only Rs 95 lakh, then how did he spend Rs 1.13 crore.
After this, questions started arising, after which Sameer Mohanty has changed his statement and said that he has not written any such letter.
However, till now no complaint has been made by Sameer Mohanty in any police station regarding making a fake letter. At the same time, Congress district president Anand Bihari Dubey has been summoned to Ranchi Congress headquarter.
At the same time, Sameer Mohanti has said in a press conference that he demands an investigation into this matter and also demands that action be taken against the culprits in this case. It is worth mentioning that JMM candidate Sameer Mohanti has written a letter, which has his letterhead and his seal. It is written in the letter with letterhead and seal that Rs 25 lakh was given to Anand Bihari Dubey. Rs 6 thousand was given per booth, but only Rs 4 thousand were given per booth and no person was posted at many booths. After this, there was a political upheaval.
