NCP to contest Jharkhand Assembly Elections

Jamshedpur, Sep 22 : The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has announced its decision to contest in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections with full strength. In a meeting  at the party office in Dimna, Kolhan division on Sunday, the national general secretary and spokesperson of the youth wing Dr. Pawan Pandey said , “The party is gearing up to field candidates in the elections. Observers and co-observers have been appointed for each constituency in the Kolhan region and they have been asked to submit a list of potential candidates after consulting within the next three to four days. The party will then announce its official candidates.”

The NCP which once held the status of a national party, lost this recognition due to the lack of representatives in several states. The party is now aiming to regain its national party status by contesting elections not only in Jharkhand and Maharashtra but also in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir.

Nageshwar Rao and Shailendra Jha, from Jamshedpur West, Anwar Hussain and Vivek Mukhi, from Ichagarh, Dinesh Gorai and Santosh Mahato, from Baharagora, Ashok Mahato and Minto Kumar, from Jugsalai, Bablu Kalindi and Srishti Bhuiyan, from Potka, Tejpal Singh Tony and Mohammad Bilal, from Ghatshila, Mohammad Rizwan and Sukhraj Singh, from Chaibasa, Jitendra Mishra and Sarabjit Singh, from Seraikela, Sukhlal Shandilya and Rajesh Chauhan, from Kharsawan, Vishal Besra and Ranjit Singh, from Manoharpur, Sunny Bhuiyan and Kaushal Singh, from Chakradharpur, Devi Prasad Manjhi and Satnam Singh, from Jagannathpur, Vilson Kullu and Lalit Dhingra and from Majhgaon, Inderjit Singh and Manoj Malhan are the observers appointed for Kolhan.
